Instant lawn
New lawn, no waiting
Seeding is the right choice for a lot of lawns, but it takes time, steady watering and patience while bare soil turns into turf. Sod skips most of that. The grass arrives grown, so you get a finished look right away, less mud tracked into the house and fewer weeds getting a foothold in open soil.
The part you don't see is what makes sod succeed. Old, dead or weedy turf has to come out, and the soil underneath needs to be loosened and smoothed so new roots can grab hold. Then the rolls go down tight against each other with staggered seams, so the lawn knits together evenly.
We handle backyards, side yards and tricky spaces, like the strip around a pool or patio. Tell us about the area and what's there now, and we'll outline the prep and installation in detail before we start. Texting photos of the space is a good place to begin.
Good sod on bad prep is still a bad lawn.
Know the signs
When sod makes sense
The lawn is mostly weeds
When weeds outnumber grass, starting over often works better than trying to repair it piece by piece.
You need a lawn soon
Selling a home, hosting an event or wrapping up a project? Sod gives you a full lawn without waiting on seed.
Construction left bare soil
After building or landscaping work, sod turns raw dirt into lawn and helps hold the soil in place.
Seed hasn't taken
Some areas just won't fill in from seed. Sod covers them all at once.
A slope is washing out
Bare soil on a slope erodes with every heavy rain. Sod covers it right away, and its roots help hold the ground.

Neighbors say it best.
How soon can I walk on new sod?
Keep foot traffic light for the first couple of weeks while the roots grab into the soil. A gentle tug test helps: if the sod resists lifting, it's rooting in. We'll go over what to watch for.
How much do I need to water new sod?
A lot at first. New sod needs to stay consistently moist until it roots, and then watering can taper off. We'll give you instructions that fit the season and your yard.
When can I mow new sod?
Once it has rooted and grown enough to need a trim. Keep the mower on a high setting for the first few cuts.
Is sod or seed better for my lawn?
It depends on your timeline and the area. Sod covers bare soil right away, while seeding works well for thickening a lawn that's thin but still has grass. We'll talk through both and recommend what fits.
